The rumor mills are busy again! Wzor put out some more info, noting that the Windows 7 Release Candidate 2 will be signed off today and be released on June 12th. As always, any dates put out should be taken with a bit of salt. Windows 7 RC2 is expected to be made available to Technet/MSDN subscribers and TAP Gold Partners on the same date. Microsoft did say that there will be only one Release Candidate, but Wzor’s announcement has proved that they were only speaking of public releases. RC2 will likely be issued via Connect, Technet, and MSDN.
On May 29th, there was a lot of change with the branch numbers. The previous branch number for SP was 7141.0.winmain_win7ids_sp.090528-xxxx, but has now jumped to 7200.0.winmain_win7ids_sp.090529-xxxx. The server pack’s current build number is 7225.0.090529-xxxx
